The Order-Picker is responsible for safely and efficiently picking and preparing cases and pallets of wine for shipment.

Job Duties

  • Efficiently operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE - forklift equipment such as Order-Pickers, Deep-Reach lifts and standard Forklifts
  • Build orders in accordance with pick-sheet instructions
  • Use hand-scanner equipment to identify products
  • Transfer full/partial pallets of wine using MHE
  • Pick and stack cases on pallets
  • Shrink-wrap pallets to properly secure shipments
  • Full-time work, with frequent Overtime opportunities

Job Requirements

  • 2-Years experience operating forklifts and other MHE (Order-Picker machines specifically)
  • Willingness and experience to pick at 25 feet heights (on Order-Picker machine)
  • Ability to repetitively lift and stack wine-cases weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Use proper lifting techniques when moving product
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Be flexible in terms of work-hours and available to work overtime at short notice
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Must be able to communicate with co-workers and supervisors in English
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Work Schedule

Start time is 5:00 p.m. with great opportunities for overtime as needed. Successful candidates will work a three month probationary period via a Temporary Employment Agency.

Folklift operator and general warehouseman

The Forklift operator and general warehouseman is responsible for safely and efficiently receiving pallets of wine, and individual cases, into the warehouse, and putting-away in storage lanes and in storage racking. Additionally, General Warehouseman duties include inventory quality control by checking and counting cases, stacking and unstacking cases, and duties as assigned by the Manager.

Job Duties

  • Operate Material Handling Equipment, primarily forklifts, but can include Deep Reach Lifts and Order Pickers
  • Unload trucks and containers
  • Use barcode scanners to identify products and locations
  • Put-away pallets in storage lanes/racks
  • Put-away cases, not on pallets, in dense storage racking/shelving
  • Use machine-wrap or hand-wrap to secure cases on pallets

Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds (a wine case is typically 35 pounds and may weigh up to 50 pounds)
  • Ability to bend, twist, stretch, and step into and out of Material Handling Equipment
  • Ability to always use proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to always follow all safety rules and regulations
  • As directed by Management, help maintain a clean and safe work environment by floor-sweeping, picking up pallet trash, used shrink wrap, etc.
  • Ability to work at a fast and productive pace
  • Flexibility in work hours/schedules and availability to work overtime on short notice
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and Management in English

Cycle counter

The Cycle Counter is responsible for conducting daily physical counts in multiple warehouses for the Inventory Department.

Job Duties

  • Daily physical counting of various products in multiple warehouses
  • Communicate with warehouse managers regarding issues that are found during counting
  • Update warehouse locator system based on count
  • Reconcile variances discovered during daily counts
  • Reconcile warehouse breakage reports to physical inventory
  • Conduct inventory physicals with customers

Job Requirements

  • Must be comfortable operating an Order Picker machine
  • Ability to take direction and follow set procedures
  • Ability to analyze and recommend solutions to problems
  • Must have the drive needed to complete physical counts on time
  • Excellent organization skills, accurate, and thorough
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in the wine industry is preferred
  • Previous experience in a warehouse office setting is preferred

Work Schedule

The work schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Successful candidates will work a three month probationary period via a Temporary Employment Agency.
